Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel (former Kiss Daniel), is a Nigerian Afropop recording artist best known for his singles “Woju” and “Yeba”. He went by the stage name Kiss Daniel prior to changing it in May 2018. He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case. He founded the Fly Boy and Pablo label Inc record label in November 2017. He currently released two single songs Titled “Pahpoh and Pak N Go.
Daniel’s chart-topping song Woju released on September 1, 2014, was regarded as one of the best Nigerian songs that year and was nominated in the Hottest Single category in 2015. The young artist has gathered a number of awards since the start of his music career. Kiss Daniel Early Life & Career
Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe popularly known as Kizz Daniel was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He hails from Abeokuta North local government area. He attended Abeokuta Grammar School and graduated from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in 2013, with a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering). While in university, he decided to pursue music as a career alongside his studies.
In May 2015, Daniel released a third follow up single, “Laye,” on his birthday, along with a video two weeks later which was shot in different locations in the eastern part of Africa and was directed by AJE FILMS.
Kizz Daniel released his first studio album titled New Era on May 14, 2016. After his exit from his former label G-WorldWide he went to float his own personal imprint FLYBOY I.N.C. which recently signed two new acts Demmie Vee and Philkeyz. After which Kizz Daniel was featured on Demmie Vee single entitled “You Go Wait?”. 2018 was sure a good year for the WOJU crooner, he features Wizkid (musician) on a Hit Song “FOR YOU” and the DMW boss, Davido on another single “One Ticket” which is Currently Trending within 24hrs of its release. On the 30th of December 2018, Kizz Daniel released his 2nd Studio album and his first under FlyBoy Inc titled “No Bad Songz”. The album contained 20 Songs including the pre-released One Ticket which he featured DMW Boss, Davido. Other features on the Album includes Nasty C, Diamond Platiumz, Philkeys, Demmie Vee, Dj Xclusive, Wretch 32, Diplo and Sarkodie. The album received positive reviews from music lovers, it debuted at No 55 on the US iTunes Chart and became number 1 on the world Album Chart within 24 hours of its release.
Kiss Daniel’s Controversial Split from G-Worldwide
In November 2017, Kizz Daniel announced his split from his record label, G-Worldwide and created his own label called FLYBOY I.N.C. He was sued to court by the former record label but was not found guilty for any of the crimes he was accused of.
In May 2018, Kizz Daniel announced that he had changed his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel, a name that immediately reflected on his social media accounts. New Spotify and Apple Music accounts were also created immediately with the names Kizz Daniel, with his new songs featured.
In June 2018, Kizz Daniel’s former record label G-Worldwide made a move to own the rights to the name “Kizz Daniel” and further advised the singer to desist from using the name or face legal consequences in a press release. sent out to media houses.
It was alleged that Daniel received N30,000 as monthly salary from G-World at the beginning of their deal. The label, in their counteract statement, said it paid over N120 million to the singer since signing him. According to the Solicitors, Kiss Daniel formally canceled the deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment via a letter on October 30, 2017 – which was in accordance with the provisions of the Recording Contract between the parties.
Pushing forward with his dreams, with support from fellow stars like Davido, Wizkid, and others, Daniel launched his very own Label, Flyboy INC (FBI) in November 2017 and change his brand name from Kiss to Kizz Daniel.
Kiss Daniel was alleged to have been in a sizzling romantic relationship with Chidinma Ekile, a fellow musician. At the time of the rumour, the duo did not hide their affection and were pictured in hotel rooms. However, the relationship was short-lived as the dup reportedly deleted each other’s pictures on their Instagram pages. Presently, Kiss Daniel is unmarried.
Kiss Daniel’s Family
Kiss Daniel lost his dad, Kola Anidugbe on May 29, 2015. He had once shared a photo of himself and parents on social media before the older man’s demise. Despite the controversy surrounding his absence from his father’s burial, Daniel later shared an emotional tribute on late Anidugbe’s birthday on June 17, 2015.
In the written speech, the singer described himself as the ‘Stupid son’ for not being there for the old man, for loving the fame above his family and for believing that the ailment (typhoid) that took his father’s life wasn’t serious.
The artiste regrets not having his father around long enough to fulfill the promise he made – to gift the old man a car on his birthday.
