Seeking to redeploy during a service year is quite common among corps members, particularly those who have genuine reasons such as health or marriage. In this post, we talk about how to write the NYSC redeployment letter so that you don’t get caught up on who to address it to.

The NYSC redeployment letter is a letter one must write to inform the appropriate NYSC authorities that you intend to change your present location, most times, from one state to another. Without this letter, it is safe to assume you have no intention of being redeployed since you have not put it in writing/formalize it and address it to the appropriate quarters.

Here is the official way on how to write the NYSC redeployment letter for those seeking relocation based on health grounds. We also provided two samples of the NYSC redeployment application letter in this write-up.

We believe with this guide,  you should be able to know how to easily apply for relocation and acceptable reasons using the format for the NYSC relocation sample letter from your various orientation camps in Nigeria. The two possible reasons for wanting to apply for redeployment are usually based on health/medical reasons or marital purpose.

Depending on the reason, make sure you have your medical report from a registered hospital, and affidavit and your marriage certificate with you for relocation in the camp. If you have these documents, you can go and obtain the NYSC redeployment form and fill it. Then, you write a letter before you submit it to the appropriate authority.

The Director-General,

National Youth Service Corp Directorate

Plot 416, Tigris Crescent,

Maintama, Abuja.

Dear Sir,

RE: Mr. Obeni Olalekan

The above-named corp member is a known asthmatic patient and has been on medication since the diagnosis was made three years ago.

His medical conditions demand that he does not get exposed to dust, cold weather so as to avoid unnecessary acute exacerbation of asthmatic attack.

His conditions also demands that he stays closer to his people to be able to procure him medications regularly and to be adequately taken care of by his parents.

I believe that staying closer to his parents will enable him to maintain a healthy living.

Thank you.

We hope this will be of help to those youth corp members who desire to redeploy. Don’t forget to share it with your friends.
